Obama says it's time to look for more oil in the gulf just as the exploration equipment was about to be scattered around, mostly to Brazil. So the best stuff stays where it is. But why? Maybe to slap Brazil in the face for humiliating him, his wife and Oprah when they took the Olympics away from Chicago. Brazil needs new wells to pay for the games and vacate the slums around the venues and replace them with something that looks like condos. .<tinfoilhat>.But maybe Obama was on to the Brazilians and wanted to pay them back. Or worse yet, what if the Brazilians sabotaged the deepwater well thinking that liberal democrats would call a halt to all offshore drilling. This would free up the exploration gear for other regional activities, say in Braaaaazil, where hearts were entertaining Juuuuuunneee!!!!

How will knowing that I'm a middle aged father and husband define who I am? Will I also be defined by my military service, college degree and career path? How will I be defined for having been laid off many times in the 80s and 90s before finally hanging my own shingle and bringing employment security under my personal control? And how will I be defined for being white? Grobbbbbbbbbbbb

Irony
It's hilarious to me that the basic plot to Eddie Long's fiasco and that of Meg Whitman are basically the same. Odd timing too. Maybe we really are in a matrix of some sort and the program just hit a weird snag.

Run and keep running
I'm amazed our lawmakers put off the tax cuts. It's such an obvious extortion game. If we don't reelect them, we can be sure they stab us in the back during the lame duck session. However, if we to put them back in their overstuffed chairs, they might stab us in the back anyway! They have to pay for all of their spending or our credit goes down the tubes and our economy implodes.
Personally, I think the implosion is already underway and all the chickens running around Washington are just playing a precarious game of damage control. Part of me hopes the two primary parties both take a beating from independents, but I also fear that will hasten the decline. I'm not waiting till the runs on toilet paper begin and bread is $9 a loaf.

I'm only posting to be sure everything works. This is not an actual opinion.
